AWARDS, FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
A core component for college access is helping students obtain financial assistance. McNair Educational Foundation provides numerous awards, scholarships, and even a financial aid specialist to assist students and their families to increase awareness of financial aid available.
FINANCIAL AID SERVICES
McNair provides a Financial Aid Specialist at each high school who works with seniors and their families at no cost to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and assist students in communicating with college financial aid offices.
SCHOLARSHIPS
McNair Educational Foundations offers several scholarships to qualifying students including the ROPE Award, Ron Paris Mass Communication Award, Charles Z. Flack Jr. Community Leadership Award, and Jim Songster Mastery Award.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
McNair Mentors recognize that financial barriers prevent many students from achieving academic success.
To help ease the burden, Mentors at each high school established the East Mary O. Hamrick Fund, Chase Angel Fund, RS Hilltopper Fund and EXPO Award.
