For thirty years The Robert and Janice McNair Educational Foundation has helped thousands of Rutherford County Schools students prepare for a postsecondary education in their desired career field. Programs are offered from elementary through high school and are aimed at making sure all students are both academically and financially prepared for college and career. Middle school is where big changes happen. Our programs link middle schoolers with high school students and mentors that help make transition from middle to high school easier.

CAREER PATH PLANNING
A traditional four-year college isn't for everyone. Our career path planning helps students figure out what career they want to pursue and then lays out a postsecondary education plan to help them achieve their goals and follow their dreams.
The Robert and Janice McNair Educational Foundation is seeking applicants for a Student Services Specialist. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the mentor program at Chase High School and Chase Middle School. This position will also serve as the Financial Aid Specialist at Chase High School. This position is a full-time, 12-month position.
The successful candidate will be someone who has the ability to be organized, methodical and efficient. The candidate must also exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants must also have the ability and applicable experience in various software programs and demonstrate proficiency in mastering new technology.
Associate’s degree from an accredited community college preferred.
2-3 years of experience working with volunteers or in an education setting
Strong organization and time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities.
Knowledge of the FAFSA process preferred
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
Ability to maintain confidential or proprietary information.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, email and Internet.
