Finding your Future: The Professional Lunch Program

Our Professional Lunch program brings together students and seasoned professionals for a great learning experience. The program revolves around a simple yet impactful concept: juniors from Chase, R-S Central, and East Rutherford high schools are invited to a special lunch where they have the opportunity to interact with professionals from their fields of interest. This event serves as a bridge between classroom learning and the real world, providing students with insights and advice that can shape their future career paths.

The highlight of the Professional Lunch is the keynote talk delivered by Thad Harrill, Chief Development Officer at Isothermal Community College. Thad shares his wealth of experience, offering invaluable advice on how to navigate the complexities of a chosen profession. His talk focuses largely on the essence of professionalism and the importance of treating others with respect.

The event is not just about listening; it's about engagement. Students are encouraged to ask questions, seek advice, and learn firsthand from individuals who have successfully carved their paths in various industries. The interactive nature of the Professional Lunch fosters an environment where curiosity is welcomed, and students can gain practical insights that go beyond what textbooks can provide.

The impact of the Professional Lunch extends beyond the event itself. Students leave with a broader perspective on their chosen fields, a clearer understanding of the skills required, and a network of professionals they can connect with for mentorship and guidance. For many, this lunch serves as a stepping stone towards internships, educational choices, and, ultimately, fulfilling careers. The Professional Lunch is not merely an event; it's a catalyst for dreams, ambitions, and a brighter future for our community.
