Our Connect Tour was held on Friday for all 8th grade students in the Rutherford County Schools system. The event helps to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real-world job market. It offers 8th grade students a unique chance to visit local businesses and gain firsthand knowledge of different career paths within their community. Students had the chance to meet professionals, ask questions, and witness the day-to-day operations of different industries. The experience was eye-opening for many students, as they got to see what the future might hold for them in their own community. They were able to explore a wide range of careers, from manufacturing and technology to healthcare and business.
The Connect Tour is not just an educational event; it's a community-building initiative. By connecting local businesses with schools and young students, it fosters a sense of unity and shared responsibility. It shows students that their community believes in their potential and is invested in their future.
